Team JDRF allows you to participate in different types of challenge events as a way to fundraise for JDRF. Each year, Team JDRF selects premier national athletic events and secures a limited number of slots.

Then, you’ll have access to fundraising tools like a personal web page, a private dashboard to monitor your fundraising progress, sample messages to ask for support—and other downloadable resources to help your reach and exceed your goal.

Full marathon runners must be 18 years of age or older by the date of the race. Half marathon runners must be 14 years of age or older by the date of the race and must have a signed parental/guardian consent form.
The amount of training you put in is up to you. Depending on your experience, fitness level, and the type of event you have selected, you will receive coaching and tools that you can use to tailor a training program. If you are a novice, most coaches will recommend you begin training 16 weeks before a full marathon and 12 weeks before a half marathon.
Yes, please. To ensure that you are an official member of Team JDRF and to receive membership benefits, you must register for the event.

Yes. The exact minimum will vary depending on the event you have chosen.
Our premier national events require meeting certain fundraising requirements to receive certain additional benefits, like travel and accommodation.
Yes! The required registration fee will count toward your fundraising.
Please make check donations payable to JDRF and include the name of the participant and/or event in the memo line. For cash donations received, it is recommended to transfer these donations into a personal or cashier’s check before submitting them to your local JDRF chapter.

Yes. Every online donation will receive an automated email acknowledgment for tax purposes. For offline donations your local JDRF office will send an acknowledgment by mail.
